Friends, and whoever else is reading this,
For the last several days I've been unable to find a working Internet connection in Mexico. Either places don't have it, or they say they have it, and it's too slow to use. Hence there haven't been any new posts from me in a while. I've been writing them, I just haven't had a means to upload them.
But for those relying on this blog to know that I'm still alive--yes, I'm still here! I just finished two days in Copper Canyon country, and am now en route to Mazatlan on the coast. Copper Canyon being remote, it's a long haul, and I've stopped for the night at the city of Hidalgo de Parral (where Pancho Villa met his death). It's a city of wild contrasts: crumbling ruins, fashion emporiums, narrow streets, magnificent plazas, a dry river, friendly policemen, music and bright colors everywhere.
This hotel's wi-fi wasn't working earlier but now it seems to be, so I hope that a small text-only post can be uploaded. We'll see...
Cool, thaks for the update, look forward to the next installment : )
