Photo Essay: The Doors of San Miguel de Allende
The streets of San Miguel de Allende are so narrow that you
usually can’t see a shop, restaurant or other establishment until the
moment you’re passing it. For this
reason, the doorway becomes an art form of the sudden and instant appeal. The rugged frame set in stone streets and
plaster walls works like the frame of a three-dimensional painting, crafting an invitation to wonders within. The effect draws the eye even if what's inside is a pile of boxes. Indeed, even when the doors are closed, beauty is created.

Well done. I especially like #10, with all the electrical meters peaking through. Old meets new.
